Version 1.1.1 shows as "Approved" by the Add-ons Review Team for about a week now, with 0 validation errors. However:
- The public add-on page (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/f409b96b5bdc4c72a34d/) returns "Page not found" (404), even in private browsing / logged out
- The add-on does not show up in AMO search results when searching for "Reader Facilitato"
- It's not indexed by Google either
I've already checked that:
- The version was submitted as "listed" (On this site), not unlisted
- There's no "experimental" flag visible in the settings
- The "More" menu in project management shows no visibility/hide options
- Version 1.1.1 does not appear disabled in the version history
Could you check if there's a system-side block (e.g. a pending additional manual review, or a technical issue) preventing the add-on from actually going public despite the "Approved" status?
Hi, and thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the confusion here.
I had a look from our side, and the reason the public page 404s is that the version was submitted to the unlisted (self-hosted) channel, not the listed one. Unlisted add-ons are signed for self-distribution only, so they never get a public listing page, they do not appear in AMO search, and they are not indexed by Google. That is also why nothing looks disabled or blocked in your version history, the “Approved” status you are seeing is the unlisted review passing.
There is no way to flip an existing upload from unlisted to listed. What you can do is upload a new version of “Reader Facilitato” and choose “On this site” as the distribution channel. It will go through review before it becomes visible publicly.
Thank you so much for looking into this and for the clear explanation, that makes perfect sense now! I must have selected the wrong distribution channel when uploading, probably a leftover from an earlier unlisted upload I did for private testing.
