Add On Awaiting Review for 12+ hours

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some guidance regarding an issue with our Firefox extension submission.

Yesterday, our QA environment extension build was submitted but has remained in “Awaiting Review” status. The extension ID is extension-qa@kipio.ai. The succesful ones have id extension@kipio.ai(prod), extension-dev@kipio.ai(dev). We are using AMO for signing the and self hosting firefox extension.

We are a security-focused extension, and our compliance requirements mandate that our QA builds are also signed by Firefox using web-ext. Our staging, development, and production builds use the same codebase with environment-specific variables and have been processed successfully. However, the QA build is currently stuck in the “Awaiting Review” state.

At this point, I’m not sure whether there is anything further I can do from my end, so I would greatly appreciate any guidance on what might be causing the delay or whether any action is required from us.

I’m happy to provide any additional information, logs, or details needed to investigate this.

Hi Subash, and thanks for reaching out.

Your QA build was pulled for manual review because our scanners identified an issue with it, most likely around the data collection consent. That is why this one stopped while your production and dev builds went through.

Once you have that sorted, submit a new version. Deleting versions and resubmitting the same build will not solve anything and will not move you up the queue.
