I’m the developer of RoPlus (add-on ID: contact@roplus.dev, slug: roplus), a Roblox enhancement extension that’s already live on the Chrome Web Store. I’ve been trying to get it published on Firefox but haven’t been able to get through AMO review for about 10 days now.
I originally tried self-distribution, but the review never went through even after waiting days. So I switched to listed distribution instead. My first listed submission was on Feb 10 (v0.6.3), and I’ve submitted updated versions since then as I continued development. My latest, v0.7.5, was uploaded on Feb 17 and is still sitting in “Awaiting Review” 0 errors, 9 warnings in automated validation.
I have users waiting to use the extension on Firefox and this is blocking me from reaching them entirely. The Chrome Web Store typically reviews and approves submissions within a couple of days, so 10+ days with no progress on either listed or self-distributed review is pretty frustrating.
Hey I just want to put out an update I am still waiting, it’s now March 10th and I have been waiting since Feb 5th. This feels very slow, I need updates, if anyone from the add-ons team can reach out or respond I would really appreciate it. I can’t keep people waiting.

I have checked our review schedule and saw that your add-on is listed and should be reviewed soon. I understand you might be hoping to receive a different answer, but we are currently experiencing a huge influx of new add-on submissions that has been delaying things.
Hey there, thanks for the update I really appreciate it! I am curious if this is normal as this version is behind the Chrome version I have been pushing updates out to. Should I expect similar wait times for later updates or is this because this is the first release?
I had one quick question, if I continue to submit updates to the extension while it’s in the queue am I pushed back? The current version that is pending is quite behind compared to what Chrome users have. I would like to know that I can safely submit the newer versions without extending my wait. Thanks!
I just wanted to make a follow-up question. Is it normal for self-hosted extensions to also require a manual review. Doesn’t it defeat the purpose if I have to have it manually reviewed, my goal is to allow users to get early access features, and currently I have to set it up, so people need to download a zip file manually. It would be nice to automate this but waiting a month for review makes it, so Firefox users will be ages behind on features and can’t get critical bug fixes in a timely manner. Is something happening at Mozilla this is actually kind of outrageous, like I don’t get this annoyed usually, but it’s genuinely frustrating.
@Nikology Are you referring to RoPlus, or to another add-on that is self-hosted?
I am not avoiding answering your question, I just need a few more information will be getting back to you with a more informed answer about self-hosted add-ons.
So I created a separate ID for the self-hosted version which would be the “early-access” release. But it seems self-hosted extensions also require a human review. From my research self-hosted is supposed to be automated, but maybe that isn’t the case. It’s just my current way to distribute the newest builds is through a discord webhook, but a lot of users are frustrated with the manual installation. I understand that the work is straining and the amount of stuff y’all gotta do is a lot, but there has to be something cause from what I see and when I experience an almost a month wait it really just turns people away from using AMO. I am not really asking specifically to be prioritized or anything I just like transparency. I am like a lot of people and opposed to the current state of AI but like it really feels like something AI would be good at, not taking over the whole role but just like speeding up the process. I am not taking my frustration out on y’all or anything it’s really just annoying the state of things in general.
