I’ve recently updated a self-hosted extension being signed with web-ext to have Google Analytics tracking embedded. This stopped the automatic review I was getting previously and somehow flagged the extension for a manual review. I’ve since changed the way Google Analytics was implemented to the method you recommend on your blog (and fixed all other warnings). Is there a way to get back to automated review process or will I have to wait? For how long then (can seem to find the ‘queue’ others are talking about)? The purpose of the extension is purely for internal use in a company (that’s why it isn’t listed).
Thanks for your patience, @aarfing! Your add-on did get flagged for manual review. It’s the end of the work week for our reviewers but you should expect to hear from us by EOD Tuesday.
Alright, thanks @caitlin, does this mean that the extension will require a manual review for each release from now on or will it return to automatic review until the next “feature” possibly gets flagged?
You’ll have to talk to the review team about that. If you log into the developer hub, click on your extension, and then click “Unlisted Review Page” on the left sidebar, you should be able to leave them a message using the review tools.
