Hi,
I can’t log into eBay. I’m using Windows 7 and this has probably got something to do with it but what I’m not sure. But I guess it could also have something to do with Norton 360. I was using Firefox 102 (I think) esr. I couldn’t use the last esr version as it was starting to cause problems. But then the problems started occurring with this version. I’d try to login to eBay and I’d get this error message "SORRY
Something went wrong on our end
Please go back and try again
or go to eBay Homepage."
I’d then click for the homepage, re-login and it would be successful. But then recently it started taking more than one try. Sometimes many. Finally I accidentally upgraded to 115.38.0 esr (I think) and I couldn’t login at all. I could login on a buyer only account, as it would give the option of logging in with only a text message number.
So I reverted to a previous hard drive back up, and it still wouldn’t work. I then uploaded the only very out of date version of Microsoft Edge for Windows 7, and I could login using that, but not all features work as the browser is very out of date. Finally I installed the latest version of r3dfox, and that worked. Norton warned me it was trying to access another browsers login details, and I blocked that, not sure if that’s a cause for what follows. But then I imported bookmarks (again not sure if that was the cause) and logged into one eBay account, then logged out, logged into another, again fine, then logged out, but when I tried logging into the first account again, the same error screen popped up. So I deleted all bookmarks and cleared the cache and anything else that could be deleted, and tried again. Again it worked, but after logging in and out, as before, again it started again. So I did the same, cleared the cache etc, but it point blank refused to login. So this time I uninstalled the browser and installed again. Again it was fine, but logging in and out a couple of times and the same error popped up. I’m at a loss. I mean even if it was caused by Windows 7, why is it fine initially and then the error occurs?
