Disabled add-ons

I installed my Kaspersky anti-virus software, which I have used in the past and have never had a problem with before. But now I get a message saying that “Kaspersky protection could not be verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled”. I clicked on the “More information” link, and honestly cannot figure out what I’m supposed to do. I am no computer genius, by ANY stretch of the imagination, but I need help on how to get around this problem. I mean, come on, this is my anti-virus protection, of all things!! I’ve ALWAYS used Firefox and have never had this happen before. Can anyone give me step-by-step instructions on how to fix this problem??? Many thanks!!

That error appears when you try to install an unsigned file. It’s up to Kaspersky to get the file signed and distribute it. It’s possible that you just need to update your Kaspersky software. If that doesn’t work, you should contact their support site.

Easy fix by clean installing Kaspersky 16.0.1.445
