The first time I was professionally coached in digital community development was between september and november 2014. In fact, I experienced GROW Model through Techwomen Program when I was hosted by Mozilla Corporation in San Francisco & Mountain View offices. I had to defend some Project Idea ,like the Mozilla Cameroon community project. This community was nonexistent at that time. I used the GROW Model to convince my professional coach about the importance of having One of this Central Africa. I had to design a strategic plan with goals, objectives and evident impact this community could have on entire Mozilla’s Work.
After returning from this program and learn how to prepare to the three level of listening in other to recruit volunteer in my country, I planned lot of advocacy campaign. In the first semester after launching the Mozilla Cameroon project as a Moz Rep, we succeed in having between 40 to 70 volunteers involved in programs like FSA, WoMoz, Mozilla Developers Network, Teach The Web, advocacy and privacy.
What I learned was to be more strategic planner, I try to be a coach myself. Between 2015 and 2017, I experienced a lot the first and second Levels of listening ( Internal and Focused) and GROW Model by myself for coaching about 8 young leaders through Mozilla Participation and Teams of girls from Mozilla Clubs and Technovation Program. The Global listening stage was more experienced at international gatherings.
Right now I am thinking on specialized myself in coaching, after being a mentor for many web&IT community members in my country and above. I planned to coach in the future other people, expecially media practitioners, women & girls and young people.
