Hi all.

In the last few months I have been working hard on making my Linux laptop as stable and secure as possible, and I came to Flatpak. The command line is not that intuitive, but the integration into GNOME Software is really smooth and I just love it. But I miss official Firefox builds there. What is needed to be done to get Firefox to [this list](https://flathub.org/apps.html)? The community builds have some small issues, but what about starting with pre-release versions there, until all limitations are fixed?

Michal

I have found one year old [bug 1278719](https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1278719). @mkaply @wsmwk I see you doing some triage in the history. What is the bug currently waiting for? I see Flatpak as a potential how can Mozilla package and distribute Firefox easily for distros.

I’ve replied in the bug. Basically we would need a community member to take some ownership and help drive things. We don’t have the Flatpak expertise.

iirc the only thing that the linux builds from [ftp.mozilla.org](http://ftp.mozilla.org) miss to ‘integrate’ is coping the icons to your .icons/hicolor/ directory for the shortcut and the nodisplay in the .desktop
