Addons links can point to a desktop/mobile specific version.
To fix it, simply remove “/firefox” from the URL.
For example, instead of:

```nohighlight
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/web_translate
```

use:

```nohighlight
https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/web_translate
```

@rporlier73, the error message you circled in the screenshot explains the problem.

> Add-ons are not compatible with Firefox for iOS. Try installing them on Firefox for desktop.

Firefox for iOS does not support add-ons. This limitation is a direct result of Apple’s historical requirement that all web browsers on iOS use WebKit, the engine that powers Safari. While the DMA requires that Apple allow competing browser engines on iOS in the EU, Mozilla has not released a version of Firefox for iOS that uses the Gecko engine or supports installing add-ons.
