Greetings, I am "new" and have strong opinions

So this may be the wrong site or forum and if so I apologize. I’ve been a fan of the browser and the engine since I originally came from Netscape Navigator. If someone wants to point me to the appropriate place (that is not GitHub, KMFMS) or forward this for me I would be most appreciative.

Where do I put my suggestions and concerns? Finding the appropriate place online is like trying to search through an educational institution’s website. It almost feels convoluted on purpose or maybe I’m just getting old. The Autism does not help at all either

Anyway I’m going to put my ideas here. Do what you will with them.

The address and search bars should automatically grow when clicking on the text field, and shrink after hitting enter/when clicking off them. Also the address should be for addresses and the search should be for search. When I try to use the address as a search and then it takes me to https://thingthatIhadsearchedforasa.com it’s slightly annoying. I’ve just attempted to mitigate this by swapping the positions of these fields. Maybe you could make it a setting in about:config

Also when signing up to eh forum there is no way to change the activity display to the ISO date format that I saw. I much prefer that if that can be a thing. I looked through all the tabs in the preferences/profile.

There were other things, but I forgot what they were because I also have ADHD. I probably should have wrote them down, but as I just said I have ADHD

I hope y’all are well, and thanks for readin’

Hi, Mozilla has a dedicated platform for feedback called Mozilla Connect. Your ideas/feedback are very welcome there.

Regarding search, I believe that once the team revives the search bar on the newtab page (which should happen in the foreseeable future), it will be used for search exclusively (like you want). That just my assumption, though, I haven’t seen the specs.

Wooo, fragmentation!

Thanks though, I’ll go check that out.

Oh, I just thought of the other idea. May as well mention it too.

As I said, ADHD. Container tabs are neat, but sometimes I forget to switch to the correct container when going to a site. Having it restrict bookmarks to specific containers would be neat. I could use separate profiles for this, but that requires changing profiles each time and I’m “lazy.”
