What do you want Firefox to do, exactly? For example:

  • When opening a link in a new tab, open it at the end of the tabs bar instead of adjacent (next to) the current tab
  • When opening a link coded to launch a new window/tab, stay in the same tab and replace the current page instead
  • Something else…

setting browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent to false, it helped me.
