I am using these leak sensors. These sensors report battery voltage, temperature, shock and water leakage. The problem is that the custom “Thing” does not differentiate between the leak detection and shock detection. Is there a way around this? A simple work around would be to look for more then one trigger, the shock events are isolated, where leak events will be continuous as long as water is present. I don’t see a way to implement an event counter in the rules. Any ideas how to proceed?

There is a Counter add-on which will let you create custom counter “devices”, which you can then use in rules.
Thanks! I wasn’t aware of them. With that and the timer, I can make it work. However, I installed the timer, but it doesn’t appear in the things as the counter did. Not sure what to do about that.
Did you configure your custom timers through the add-on configuration page?
Yes, I called it Timer 1, and set it to 300 seconds.
You should just have to click the + button at the bottom of the Things page and add it. @t1m1 may be able to help if that’s still not working.
