# Introduction to Add-on Development

I recently wrote [How to develop a Firefox extension](https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2014/06/05/how-to-develop-firefox-extension/). It’s an overview of the different ways to create add-ons for Firefox and Firefox for Android. It points to the documentation you need to get started but it doesn’t get into specific technical matters.
