The AMO listing for our extension keeps showing the default placeholder icon instead of the add-on’s own icon.
- Add-on: Always Translate
- GUID:
always-translate-extension@vladon.dev - Current live version: 1.1.9 (approved 2026-09-24)
The manifest declares PNG icons (32/48/64/96/128 at icons/icon-*.png), the files are present in the signed package, and Firefox renders them everywhere (about:addons, about:debugging). The API, however, returns the default placeholders:
"icons": {
"32": "https://addons.mozilla.org/static-server/img/addon-icons/default-32.png",
"64": "https://addons.mozilla.org/static-server/img/addon-icons/default-64.png",
"128": "https://addons.mozilla.org/static-server/img/addon-icons/default-128.png"
}
History: the listing was originally created when the manifest used SVG icons (which AMO can’t use for the listing image). Since 1.1.5 (approved 2026-09-23) and 1.1.9 the manifest icons are PNGs, but the listing icon never updated from the placeholder — two approved versions in a row behave the same.
Could you refresh the stored listing icon for this add-on, or advise how to force the icon re-extraction? Happy to provide any additional details.
