The OpenWest conference is the Mountain West region’s premier open source conference. This year, organizers are anticipating between 2,000 and 2,500 eager open sourcers to be in attendance. Last year, Mozilla’s sponsorship was a great success and the Mozilla Utah community grew and was legitimized as a result of it.
This year, Mozilla Utah plans to have more of a community presence. With local Mozillian Liz Sands-Adams as the leader of the Privacy track, there’s a lot of opportunity to create a larger community of impact in Utah and spark the creation of smaller Mozilla communities in the Mountain West.
The call for papers is approaching its final week. We would love to have your help to really establish Mozilla’s community presence at this event. If you have an idea (or several) for a session, please submit it! We would really love to see you here.
