Hey,

I comprehend that submitting source code is a prerequisite for publishing add-ons to Firefox. Could you please clarify the rationale behind this requirement, and is there a viable alternative?

Our company has invested significantly in developing the add-on, and we are hesitant to submit it for review without exploring potential alternatives.

Thanks

The source code should be available only to reviewers for the purpose of the manual review (you need to provide it if your addon code is minified).

And code obfuscation is forbidden, but that’s true for all stores.

I don’t think there is any other way…

It should be stated first that the source code needs to be uploaded, rather than notified after the developer has adapted for Firefox Add-on.

@wamich, do you have suggestions on where we could call attention to this requirement? It’s not immediately clear to me where else we can/should state this.
