[Support] Sniffit – Find cheaper products & spot overpriced stores instantly

Hi everyone!

I’ve recently launched Sniffit - Product Finder & Price Checker and wanted to share it with the Firefox community.

The Problem:
Online shopping is full of overpriced resellers, “dropshippers,” and misleading social media ads. It’s often hard to know if you’re getting a fair price or just paying a 300% markup on a product available elsewhere.

How Sniffit helps:
Sniffit is a “quiet” assistant that works in the background. The moment you land on a product page, it analyzes the item and checks for cheaper versions or direct-from-manufacturer sources (like AliExpress or Amazon).

Key Features:

  • Instant Markup Alerts: Tells you if the item you’re looking at is being sold at a significantly higher price than elsewhere.

  • Visual Search: Finds visually similar products at fair prices with zero extra clicks.

  • Quiet & Lightweight: It doesn’t clutter your browser; it only appears when it finds a better deal.

  • Supported Platforms: Works on Shopify stores, fashion sites, and items found via Instagram/TikTok ads.

Proudly Optimized for Firefox Android :mobile_phone:
One thing I’m particularly proud of is that Sniffit isn’t just for desktop. While mobile extensions are often overlooked or simplified, I’ve worked hard to ensure a full-featured experience on Android.

Shopping often happens on the go (scrolling through social media ads), so having the same “price sniffing” power in your pocket was a priority for me. If you’re a Firefox Android user, I’d love for you to give it a spin!

Why I’m sharing this here:
I built Sniffit to make online shopping more transparent. I’d love to get feedback from the Mozilla community on:

  1. How accurate you find the price comparisons.

  2. Any specific stores where you’d like to see better integration.

  3. General UI/UX improvements.
