Waiting more than 3 months for it to be verified :(

Hi everyone,

I submitted my Thunderbird add-on for review and I’ve now been waiting more than 3 months for it to be verified. I’m not sure whether I’ve done something wrong on my end, or whether it’s just sitting in the queue waiting for a reviewer. Any insight would be appreciated.

Here are the current details:

  • Add-on: AItoMail for Thunderbird
  • Latest version: 1.1.0
  • Last updated: Mar. 25, 2026
  • Status: Pending review
  • Queue position: 6 of 43

Is this kind of wait time normal? Is there anything I can do to move things along, or anything I might have missed in my submission? I’d really like to understand what it’s currently waiting on.

Hi! Sorry for the long wait. Thunderbird currently only has a handful of reviewers (only 2 community reviewers) and we are not able to keep up with the review queue. I cannot tell you how much longer you have to wait.

We are working on a tool to help us with a semi-automatic reviews, which you could try out on your submission, to maybe work already on issues we would otherwise report to you once we get to your slot. The tool might change, so be sure to keep it updated and run it every other day.

Review did not surface anything, awesome that the tool worked as intended and allowed you to pre-flight the review!
