This morning we opened applications to the 2016 edition of the Winter of Security (MWoS). Check out the blog post: https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2016/08/01/announcing-mwos-2016/
MWoS is a program organized by Mozilla’s Security teams to mentor students who have to perform a semester project as part of their university curriculum. In past years, over 30 students have participated in MWoS. This year, 12 projects that cover cryptography, web security and infrastructure security are proposed. The project are ran remotely during the winter semesters under the mentoring of two security engineers.
Applications are open until September 15th. The detailed list of projects as well as application details are available at https://wiki.mozilla.org/Security/Automation/Winter_Of_Security_2016 . Spread the word!
