It’s very interesting to me that people are approaching power as something more tangible that has to be let go of, or relinquished. Power can be shared. Multiple people can have the same power without having their power diminished. Control may be diminished when power is shared, but it also doesn’t have to be, though in many cases it should be.
Our IRC is a quick example. I can give as many people as I like power in my channels, but ultimately as founder they can’t take ultimate control of the channel away from me. I can still revoke their power if they abuse it.
