UK Community Calls - Weekly 2018/19 [currently on hold]

Following the end of year poll to ascertain the appropriate day of the week for our regular calls, it’s been shown to be our advantage to switch to each TUESDAY.

Calls for 2019 will resume TUESDAY January 15, 2019 from 7pm (GMT / UTC), and be held on a weekly cadence - unless otherwise notified.

If you are new to Mozilla’s efforts, or a regular contributor, you’re all warmly welcomed to participate as ir/regularly as you wish.

To join these calls you will be required to download ZOOM, or the option to phone in via a UK number to use your mobile plan’s free minutes. Collectively we’ve found this to be the most stable video chat platform we have to hand with the dial number as a nice back-up. We do periodically test out other options (such as Jitsi etc) but have yet to find them suitable for the older kit we in the community often use.

Due to personal commitments I can longer assist with these weekly calls. If anyone else is willing to take on the responsibility (regularity of your own choosing), please give me, or the Mozilla London office a shout.

I’ll be very much available for other efforts like: Open Leaders, Global Sprint, MozCoffee, and MozFest. Hope to see you real soon!

I will be initially live in video from 1900 to 1915, but if anyone wants to chat outside of that time or has just missed joining the call, drop me a note and we can arrange to catch up at another time.

Hi

With no one else joining the calls, I am going to be holding fire on dialing in every Tuesday at 1900. I am dashing out of work, getting home, getting food…to boot up a laptop and talk to myself.

But I still want to keep things open for people to chat and communicate and make the interweb better. So going forwards, if anyone want to meet up for a chat to discuss what they are working on or to share successes or pain points in projects they are working on, please drop me a private message on Discourse and we can set something up.
