I work in humanitarian response information management and use NLP for changing the way we understand people affected by humanitarian emergencies (both man-made conflicts and natural disasters). I work at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative where I have led creation of the KoBoToolbox platform since 2013. I am also a PhD Candidate at York University and work as an advisor at NetHope to improve electronic data collection, natural language processing, surveys planning, and automated data analysis.
