We will have a community booth at SITCON. It’s an annual IT student conference with more than 1000+ CS students from schools country-wide.

We had participant for it for last few years, the booth would like this one (from 2016 SITCON)

and this one (from 2018 COSCUP with Common Voice demonstration setup)

Mozilla Taiwan Community

Last year’s event design is:

1. We send out Common Voice “business card” with url and QR code to the site.
2. We ask people to record 5 and verify 5 on their phone, and come back with their profile to exchange Firefox / Mozilla stickers.

We haven’t prepare much different materials yet. If we can have different design of stickers, it’s still in time to print them.

This is a great opportunity and ideally we should have zh-CN wikipedia sentences in place for the 24th.

How many people on this event do you expect would be able to provide voices for zh-CN sentences?

I don’t think there will be any China students so none. (If we ask Taiwanese students to do so it will cause PR crisis.)
