It is far to early to update, so I had selected “do not look for updates (not recommended)” on both my computers (OSX El Capitan and High Sierra). Despite this, Firefox has overridden the setting and updated to Quantum on both.
I’ve installed the extended support release now, but being forced to take a detour over Quantum made this much less of a ”joy” than need be.
Why is the update setting not respected?
