Addon page wrongly identifies my Firefox version (and therefore wrongly prohibits me from downloading addons

I’m typing with my Firefox 57 but Firefox’s own web page has its own idea what version my browser is (it says it is 52). It is not.

This is now acutely hindering me from downloading addons. I have uninstalled and re-installed firefox half a dozen times so don’t advise me to do that. Also don’t tell me to turn Firefox on without addons as that too has no effect whatsoever.

Why is my post still invisible? My account has been reviewed. I guess I have to ask the same question again.

Because I still have the problem that mozilla page pretends my Firefox is 52.0 while as you can see it is 57.0

Apologies, not sure why that happened, your post should now be visible again.

Did you change your user agent in about:config?

To be sure can you tell me the the exact about config line?

I discovered in “about:support” this contradictory nonsense (even while all addons are disabled):

Do you have privacy.resistFingerprinting set on in your user.js? If so, turn it off (false) and try again.

OMG, that must be it. Now I have my actual version displayed in useragent (about:support)

Thank you.
