Addon review taking longer than usual

Hi.

The review process of the new version of our extension takes a longer time than usual.

We are running late with the release, so could someone, please, take a look?

Thanks.

Hey there @Maxim.Zhuravlev. I think this is just a case of the review team seeing higher than normal volume, which is causing delays.

Thanks – Ed

Hi, Ed.

I see. Still is there any timeframe when the review is likely to happen. Say, today or on Friday, maybe?

Thanks.

Hi Maxim - unfortunately that is difficult to say as it entirely depends on how resource intensive the reviews ahead of you end up being.

Also, my last day at Mozilla is tomorrow so if I stop responding here, that’s why.

Thanks – Ed

Hi.

Is there any update on our position in a review queue? Are there any forecasts of when our extension is to be reviewed?

Thanks.

I’ve been waiting for my add-on update to be approved for 10 days.

It was meant to be a hotfix of the preceding version, yet it’s taking forever to be listed.

i wonder if a lot of the addons are just spam, and used by SEO firms to add links to their websites in the addon directory listings. i found a load of these and reported them but didnt hear anything back. i wouldnt be surprised if that is partly the cause of the long delays, though i guess the fact ai coding is now here lowers the barriers of entry to creating add-ons so more people may be getting into creating them, and existing addon developers can create more addons with the extra coding power AI brings. so i guess the only solution will be to use more AI power to help moderate and review extension submissions.
