Does webthings supports controlling airco devices (like Daikin or Fujitsu)?

Nobody is using this or it doesn’t exist?
Does anyone uses smart thermostats with webthings having good experience with it?
I did an indirect “hack” with writing an in-between web service that talks to my Daikin A/C and exposes a standard webthing, the code is at https://github.com/KaiRo-at/daikinthing - but at some point I’d like to look into actually doing a proper adapter for that. The big question is just time and learning the technology somewhat more.
