Are there no browserAction buttons on Android? Or where would I find them in the UI?
In TB and FF, my addon page is opened by an browserAction button.
Works in both apps.

solved - it seemsFF Android is tolerant against unknown permission (e.g. those of Thunderbird), but it is not tolerant against unsupported entries for the browseraction manifest key (e.g. browserstyle).
Those seem to make display of browseraction menu entry unavailable.
