Calendar Description Field black

I just started using Thunderbird 91. So far it is much faster than my old version. I did have a little issue migrating to the new version, but my own issue more than anything.
But the big problem is in Calendar. The description field is all black and most black text will not show through. There doesn’t seem to be a way to change either the font color or the background that I can find.
Any suggestions? Running Ubuntu 21.10 and the Light Thunderbird theme.

Do you have a dark operating system theme?

Sounds like bug 1749781 which was fixed for version 91.6.0.

Walt,
I did, but changed it to light. Strange, on another computer also running ubuntu 21.10 its fine. I need to play with it some more as soon as I get some free time. Ok if I change to system theme (dark) and the background is still black but now the letters are white. If I use the Thunderbird Light theme I get the black background with the black letters.

The Fedora supplied Thunderbird 91.5.0 displays the same behavior on my Fedora 35 Workstation, Gnome 41 desktop, using the Adwaita-dark applications theme and the Thunderbird Light theme.

The version 91.6.1 from Thunderbird does not.

You are just going to have to wait for an update from Ubuntu.
