Hey folks,
We’re so excited to announce that we’ll be participating in the upcoming FOSDEM 2025 in Brussels, Belgium. With this, we’d like to open the Call for Volunteers.
FOSDEM is the largest FOSS event in Europe. Next year, it’ll take place on the 1-2nd of February 2025 in Brussels. You can read here to find out more about the event.
This time, we will also be sponsoring Mozillians (travel and accommodation) who will help us organize Mozilla’s participation.
Unfortunately, only volunteers traveling from Europe are eligible for the sponsorship. People traveling from outside Europe are welcome to join us, but will not be eligible for one of our sponsorships.
We will have a half-day DevRoom at FOSDEM (check here if you’re interested in speaking at the event) and we expect to have a booth (to be confirmed). Volunteers will help us organize the booth.
The selection is based on the following criteria:
- Level of involvement as a Mozillian
- Experience in staffing a booth or a Devroom (however, do not be discouraged if you are a first-timer)
- Cost of travel to Brussels (we will evaluate that depending on where you will be traveling from)
Most importantly, Mozillians will need to be in good standing with our Community Participation Guidelines.
To request a sponsorship, please complete this form by the 8th of December 2024 at 23:59 Central European Time. The selected volunteers will be announced by the 15th of December 2023.
