Not sure whether this is the correct forum - I couldn’t find a general firefox forum.
In the Camera / Microphone permission widget I specifically set one device (which is a dummy device, which I hope doesn’t matter)
then the webapp still has access to the other audio devices:
Why is that? I was very much under the impression that I only granted the permission to the device I selected.
- Is there a way to grant acess only to specific devices?
- I was under the impression this is a security-thing. Then firefox should err on the side of blocking permission. Why is it behaving the way it is?
It behaves similarly for cameras. I actually have a dummy video device too, which is shown when I get the permission switcher the first time. When it shows subsequently it’s not shown anymore.
N.B. What I’m actually trying to do: There’s a thing that’s mostly a video announcement, which is distributed via M$ teams. I’d like to not grant the M$ teams webapp any permissions, but then it doesn’t allow me to join at all. All of that is of course not in the realm of firefox.
