Can Calendar item send out an email?

Hi,

Does Thunderbird offer the ability for a calendar item to send out an email, for example as an appointment reminder? I’d rather send my self an email than miss a pop-up.

Is that an option? Thanks

Hi Bob,

unfortunately this is not possible using Thunderbird/Lightning at the moment, until someone fixes bug 360799.

If you are using Google Calendar, you can set this up from Thunderbird using the Provider for Google Calendar. The email will be sent from Google.
