I have started work on documenting the similarities and differences between CSS Selectors and XPath in the following article:

I began this project because I’ve not been able to find much information comparing the two anywhere on the web.

@chrisdavidmills Why did you move the page to the XPath namespace?

Because it seems more useful and relevant to XML/XSLT/XPath folks than CSS folks. I don’t really want such articles placed in the CSS documentation; I’ve never met or talked to a CSS developer that cares about XPath.
