Error message "duplicate addon id" for new Thunderbird Add-on

While developing a new Thunderbird add-on in a university project a student of mine did some test uploading the other day. Now, as I really want to upload this new add-on for the public, I get the duplicate add-on id error message. What can I do, so that my account and not my student’s account is connected with this id?
My AMO username is godehardt.

The easiest way is to change the ID of the addon.

Or your student could request that the ID be transferred to you - see this thread:
