I think I have same problem.
I can’t create new event. Even when I’m logged in, the message says
“Please log in to create or join events”
I tried with firefox account and github account, both do not make success.

The situation does not change as two month before, when I reported here. I can not make new event. Transition of the web pages are also identical.
And I confirmed that a trial to make an event with another user also failed. I got second github user ID for this trial.
Now I wonder some of update of the Wordpress plugin affect the capability to make an event, without any certain clue.
Additionally, I found that I can not edit past event from ‘My Event’ categories.
When I try to edit one of the event, in the output of ‘My Event’ selection, it require me to login again.
