I find it difficult to upload Firefox add-ons when it takes months to get a response from the reviewers. Edge has a 7 day wait, Chrome takes max 2 days, but Firefox seems to take really long to review.
Is there anything that can cause a very long delayed review, or is the review time just not doing fast reviews nowadays?
Reviews can take several days to complete normally and it seems things are a bit backed up at the moment. I just checked your latest submission and verified that it is queued for review as expected.
Correction, Edge has improved their review times recently - for example my update from yesterday got approved in a few hours (even faster than Chrome!).
But I can 100% confirm before it was exactly 7 days for each update
Hey dotproto, I am wondering if there is an expected time frame that a Firefox addon is usually reviewed in. For example, Edge guarantees a response within 7 business days.
How long should we be waiting for a Firefox addon to be reviewed before we begin to believe that something is wrong and to ask for help?
I am assuming there is no solid time frame, and completely random based on reviewer availability?
So…, my extension is also waiting for review, and today it’s 10th day.
Are review queues long these day?
Also, since I wrote my addon code myself, I can 100% guarantee it’s safe, so whoever is reviewing it, is just wasting time . But I guess each honest developer feels that way…
We don’t have public estimates on review timelines. Review time isn’t completely random, but you are correct that it is tied to reviewer availability.
You shared your extension’s ID in the first post, so I was able to check and verify that your submission is in queue and progressing normally. I can’t provide estimates, but it shouldn’t be too much longer.
