Favorite WebExtensions?

Web-what? F**k mozilla I’m leaving with XUL.

And it’s what makes Firefox Great (xul?), without it FF is nothing, without it there is no reason for me to continue using Firefox.
I really hope there will be a fork that continues to support the ‘Legacy’ extensions I use, especially classic theme restorer, EasyCopy, ImageZoom, NukeAnything Enhanced, Saved Password Editor, and a dozen more.

Either 57 supports my extensions or I cease support for firefox, there’s no 2 ways about it, I expect a large % of the userbase will also leave. Moz’ is crazy, it couldn’t of done a better job of committing suicide if it tried.

I was also furious when I found out… :frowning: But when I saw all the issues XUL extensions create and the performance drawbacks, I started looking for WebExtension alternatives.

I can’t believe how fast Firefox is now. It’s like Chrome but more customizable and built by a community I trust. All of my old XUL extensions have WE ports or alternatives.

Maybe a better replacement for SixOrNot and IPvFox: a port from Chrome: IPvFoo by Paul Marks. (That’s the one I am using today.)

IPvFoo is really nice.

Sorry to be on rush and can’t make fancy entries as above.

For me there are many add-ons I would need, but I am depending on Tab Groups. Where could I find alternative to such productive functionality, as the its developer quit migrate it to WebExtensions technology?

Waiting the https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1384515, then https://github.com/kesselborn/taborama or others.

There are some recommendations in Appendix B: Firefox Add ons · ghacksuserjs/ghacks-user.js Wiki.

… untimely appearances of hundreds of unwanted tabs - Firefox stops responding before the extension can be disabled - it’s necessary to manually remove the extension from the file system. …

Also: see this month’s post from @amyt (Community Manager for Add-ons and Marketplace) – and other Tab Groups-related posts – under the January 2017 topic begun by Tab Groups users @irvin:

A good replacement for Tap Translate is Page Translator since it just landed support for Android

Hello,
here is my list of installed AddOns. Please don’t forget them  :
Is there an about:config to allow them anyway?
How can I contribute? I’ve never developed an Firefox AddOn.

Save file To

At the moment there isn’t a filesystem API so WebExtensions don’t have access to File system which is required for the above extensions. WebExtensions can save file to the default download location. They can also open a Save As dialogue to let the user choose and navigate to the location.

Conex

Conex (formerly Taborama, not to be confused with Taborama in the Chrome Web Store) is now amongst my favourites.

Finding tabs across multiple groups (Tab Groups) and multiple windows

Around a month ago:

Conex is experimental, so proceed with caution.

I sometimes use it with Firefox 56.0, but avoid use of Firefox containers. Two screenshots below.
