As the subject says, my perfectly functional Firefox will start scrolling the page down by itself, but only on Facebook. Not right away, not always, but always only Facebook.

Seen that behaviour too. It’s clearly a Facebook problem. I suspect that, in my case, they don’t like me using the Fluff Busting Purity add-on (FBPurity) to clean up their lousy UX “design”. Also run uBlock Origin and Ghostery to ensure I never ever see adverts.
