How to make add-on available for Firefox on Android?

Hello everybody,

we’re developing an “experimental” add-on to support FIDO/WebAuthn via eID.

We’re doing this on behalf and in cooperation with our Federal Office for Information
Security (German BSI). And they asked us what we could do to enable installation on
Firefox on Android. The add-on has been tested and fixed with latest Firefox Nightly
and seems to work quite well on desktop and on Android.

Is using Firefox Nightly with a custom add-on collection the only currently supported way? Or is there anything we could do from our side?

Thanks in advance for clarification and best regards :-),
Christian

Hi @ck1, thanks for reaching out! The custom collection on Firefox for Android Nightly is currently the only supported way to distribute this extension.
