India Privacy Campaign kicks into action

Hello,

Elections are over and the Privacy Campaign kicks into action, Ravi Shankar Prasad is the IT Minister again and he has made it clear he wants to pass the Data Protection Bill. The Mozilla community can play an integral role in ensuring that the bill properly protects the rights, privacy and security of Indians. The parliament session will start on June 17th which means this is crunch time to finalize our campaign strategy and get as many community members involved.

In our call we discussed

  • Context Setting of the Bill & a breakdown of the process
  • Brainstorming & sharing ideas to build pressure and highlight Data Protection & Privacy (online & offline)
  • Outline the next steps

If you weren’t able to make the call
