Is there a way to remove the glow behind a theme's text?

I’m aware that a topic similar to this one already exists, but I saw no real answer there and it was posted over a year ago. I’m trying to create a theme with a “night mode” kind of feeling. No matter what I do there’s this white glow around the tab names and the text in my bookmarks bar. Is there anything I can do to make it go away? It’s not something I can just learn to deal with, it’s genuinely very hard to read.

If you create your theme using Firefox Color first, when it’s uploaded it won’t have a drop shadow on the text.

Just a note though, if you use Firefox Color and then want to edit an existing theme, the upload process is different. You would need to submit it through the area marked Upload Version and not the Create A Theme area as shown in the image below.

Thank you! I’m usually pretty stubborn about the way I do things, I never would have tried this on my own

You’re welcome! And if you have any trouble with Firefox Color, don’t hesitate to ask questions.
