Just heard they want to add more AI to firefox?

I switched from Chrome to Firefox SPECIFICALLY because it allowed me to block AI features, and now they want to incorporate more of them into firefox? It’s so exhausting trying avoid such features that range from actively harmful to useless. I don’t want AI tracking my searches, or generating false information, or sucking up thousands of liters of water and polluting the air to show me a fake image of of things I’m trying to get factual information about. Why must they continue to push features no one wants that are active contributing to pollution and false information?

i wholeheartly agree. i have been using firefox for many years and have sung its praises. but increased ai integration will cause me to leave. i desperately do not want to find a new browser.

agree. its so tiring having to opt out of every new ai feature that just makes it more annoying and inconvenient to do the most basic of tasks. Im seriously starting to consider trying to find a browser that isnt just being loaded with ai bullshit

Absolutely agreed! Literally the only reason I sue firefox is because I don’t want AI slop

Exactly this. I’m so tired of having AI shoved into every product when it’s resource-intensive, often inaccurate, and something most of us are actively trying to avoid.
