Is there a way to install an old version of the add-on or to know why it disappeared?

It looks like the extension developer deleted it - no information as to why.
It is being discussed that it could be related to manifest V2 over on GitHub and maybe not the developer deleting it, could that be the case or do you know for a fact it has been deleted?
We recently announced we have no near-term plans to deprecate MV2 support, so it’s unlikely that played a role (for the Firefox extension at least), but I am just guessing.
