Loosing all add-ons data

Are you guys receiving reports from users that they lost all their addons data?
I do, and I’m not sure why.

I receive several reports every day. And these users are mostly able to restore their data using storage.js.migrated file.

And I can see users complaining about this in other other popular add-ons, like OneTab.

NOTE: this is not the case with the expired certificate :slight_smile:.

(not to mention I lost all addons data as well twice now after unexpected Windows crash, but maybe it’s not related)

It has been reported a couple of times for my extensions. Not too often though.

Is it only recently (like only a few weeks ago?) or also before?

Nope, it’s been some month since it was last reported.

This bug is working on it, but the discuss so far is focused more on prefs.js than IndexedDB files so that might need to spin off to a different bug if it has a very different fix: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1530660
