MDN Live view

hello, I recently started doing editorial reviews and summaries on MDN.

I was wondering if there is a way to view live changes before publishing, since sometimes the published version is not exactly the same as what you see in the editor before publishing.

You can use the Preview button (next to the Publish button) to open a preview of your changes. While it shows pretty much what the page will look like, not all macros will be evaluated, meaning that things like sidebars won’t appear. But you can ignore that aspect if you’re just concerned about the content you’re changing.

As @jswisher pointed out, you can use the preview button but it is not super useful. In practical use, you will often have to save, test, and potentially re-edit. This is pretty common on MDN (I do it all the time). As long as you leave the page in good shape, generally we don’t mind if it takes a few tries.
