Trying to get the bookmark folders colored properly.
There are many comments (since 2014, at least) and frustrations on the web. None of the suggested changes or alternatives to …/chrome/userChome.css seem to work uniformly for all user. Mine was actually missing when I checked after observing the defect.
Earlier backups seemed not to have that file either. There is another subdirectory idb to chrome: …/chrome/idb/…
I am using RHEL 7.9 and none of the suggestions worked sofar.
I should add: foldes in Thunderbird are not colored either.
