Moving Firefox's storage to a external memory

I am using an Android device which has two storage devices, a tiny main storage and a big external micro SD memory. Some applications allow moving the storage from the main storage to the external micro SD memory, but not Firefox. Hence, I easily get out of space when installing Firefox. Why can I not move Firefox to the external storage?

I read some articles saying that it is up to the developers to allow moving an app to a SD card (for example, this https://www.alphr.com/android-cant-move-apps-to-sd-card/). The problem, is that when the phone is connected to the computer, the connection between the SD card and the phone gets disrupted, and some functions get disabled. However, to me, this is a very unlikely case because I rarely connect my pone to a computer. Hence, I would like to have the option to move the app to the SD card. Is there another reason to enforce users not moving Firefox to the SD card?
