Nominate fellow community members for Mozilla's Rise 25

Hello amazing Reps,

This year marks Mozilla’s 25th birthday. In celebration of it, Mozilla is looking to recognize upcoming builders of the internet in an effort to give more spotlight to the amazing work happening in every corner of the internet.

We are looking for engineers, builders, the open-source enthusiasts helping to shape the next era of the internet.

So we need your help. Help us identify those people by nominating them under the builders’ category here: https://mzl.la/41ROxWp

Nominate someone you think is making the web faster, more secure and accessible to everyone. We are not looking the for the already big names in the industry. We are looking for the people we haven’t heard about yet, the people doing some amazing work in your part of the world.

You don’t know somebody? That’s alright, spread the word to your local community.

Hi,

it’s the last day, and here is my experience from last week on how to encourage people from different communities to nominate -

  1. come up with some names in different domains and communities (such as blockchain, policy, oss, students…) and

  2. ask someone I know in that domain if they also think they worth the recognition, and

  3. if so, ask if they can help fill the form to nominate, or

  4. if there are other name in their mind, help nominate them too.

There are five categories (creators, advocates, activists, builders, artists) so we can think widely and include non-code contributors.

Let’s help bring more visual to those local contributors.
