It’s my pleasure to nominate Pranshu Khanna for the Mozillian of the month - February 2019.
Pranshu has been a mozillian in the Mozilla India Community since 2016 and his contributions spread across a wide range of fields.
He started his journey by organizing ‘Teach for Kids’, teaching underprivileged children about the web. His personal contributions are reflected by the designs he has created for Mozilla Open Design which include the Rust Hacks Logo, designs for the Privacy Month campaigns various social media designs as well.
He has been called a community ninja because of his remarkable community outreach.
Pranshu has organized and spoken at more than 20 workshops on WebVR helping thousands of students passionate about learning VR. He has never left a chance to help fellow mozillians and onboarding new ones who wanted to be a part of a healthy internet, following Mozilla’s mission.
I would also like to mention about the mentor-ship and leadership qualities he has constantly showcased by judging various hackathons and by being a valuable and dedicated mentor in 3 cohorts of the Mozilla Open Leadership Program.
He has also spoken about Misinformation and Fake News at the Mozilla Festival London 2018.
To answer the questions why he should be the Mozillian of this Month, here is a highlight of what he did in February, he wrapped up the Privacy month campaign with the social media and open design contributors, he spoke at two A-frame workshops at Navrachana University, Vadodara and one Cross-Browser Extensions workshop at MSU, Vadodara.
He is already geared up to spread Mozilla’s mission and talk about the Internet at MakerFest’19 happening on 2nd and 3rd of March.
