Older Cfx add on and double clicking selected text

I had a user request the ability for one of my older addon-SDK extensions to let them hold down the
control key while double clicking on some selected text in the browser. On doing this it should go and get a
translation of the text.

Is it possible to do this inside the extension or will it interfere with Firefox’s mouse clicking functions already
present?

When I try double clicking on ordinary selected text in the browser now it just causes it to unselect it and just selects the word where the click took place.

I don’t think it would conflict with default mouse features, though maybe there are websites with specialized mouse behavior that could be affected. There are a few mouse-related add-ons (look for mouse gestures) that do some pretty sophisticated stuff.

Thanks for your reply. I will look for that. I will also try and find a list of firefox mouse apis so I can learn them. I hope they can be accessed from the old addon-SDK.
